Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is a technique using a vacuum pump (disposable or durable) to promote healing in acute and chronic wounds. Our drapes have the flexibility for the healthcare professional to customize the drapes by cutting them in any direction and still being easily applied using the handling bars and support film.

 


Avery Dennison Medical drapes for NPWT are breathable, skin-friendly and waterproof, and provide a bacterial barrier and a tight seal around the wound.

MED 9531S

Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is a method of drawing
out fluid and infection from a wound to assist in the healing process..
A dressing is sealed over the wound, to which a vacuum pump is attached. The suction pump removes fluid and infection from the wound, promoting healing by allowing the growth of new tissue. If needed, antibiotics and saline can be delivered into the wound.

Standard cover drapes

Avery Dennison Medical offers two standard cover drapes for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy: MED 9530S and MED 9531S. Both solutions are made from a highly conformable polyurethane film with an acrylic, skin-friendly adhesive. 

The smaller drape, MED 9530S, has a high moisture vapor transition rate (MVTR), which helps to protect peri-wound skin integrity. The larger drape, MED 9531S, has a high initial tack, which can be helpful on difficult  to dress wounds, ensuring a good seal and inspiring user confidence. 

Both drapes are highly conformable and provide excellent adhesion performance. They are breathable, skin-friendly, waterproof and provide a bacterial barrier. The drapes have a flat appearance and are transparent, with no gloss.
