Specially designed and engineered for high performance.

Fastening tapes are available in a nonwoven or a filmic format, and release tapes in a filmic format. Both come in different widths. A fastening tape and a release tape can be combined to form a Y-bond designed to ensure a solid and durable bond on the ear of the diaper. Combined with a hook element, this fastening tape will act as a trustworthy closure system to loop surfaces that is also refastenable.

Application Focused Adhesives

Our products feature Avery Dennison adhesives that are specially designed and engineered for high performance on a wide range of backsheet materials. The self wound closure systems are specifically made for in-line assembly of the tape components.  Usually, the customer will buy fastening tape rolls and release tape rolls and combine them in their production line (to create a two-layer tape), or buy only fastening tape (for single-layer tapes). The adhesive on the tapes is based on pressure-sensitive hotmelt adhesives. There are rolls of fastening tape and rolls of release tape, which ideally are combined to form the aforementioned Y-bonded tape. The assembly process happens in the diaper line on the customer’s side.
