Leading the market

As one of the largest suppliers of adhesive-based solutions to medical device OEMs, we offer several different surgical applications, including incise films, drape tapes for bordering and fenestration, construction tapes, and fixation tapes.

Incise drapes are adhesive-coated films which are used on the patient’s skin after the completion of surgical site preparation.

Incise

Construction

Research has shown the patient’s skin flora is a potential source of surgical site infection. The film on incise drapes creates a barrier to reduce that risk. Our incise drape materials are a transparent yet non-glare, adhesive-coated polyurethane or polyethylene film that allows the skin to breathe, preventing moisture buildup under the film even in difficult or wet operating conditions.

The film adheres to the skin and isolates the surgical site from non-sterile areas that could increase the risk of an infection.

Selection of solutions

Looking for product suggestions? Our website provides an overview of some of our most widely used surgical tapes, organized by key performance requirements such as conformability, breathability, transparency, and tack.

In terms of manufacturing, our incise films feature heavy-duty liner options. Our films are breathable and highly conformable, easy to position and apply, as well as thin, strong, and tear resistant.

Incise films are ETO and gamma sterilization compatible. PU, EMA, and PE thin films contain non-sensitizing acrylic adhesive, available as rolled goods. Our UV acrylics guarantee secure bonding to both PE and PET carriers, while enabling a high breathability.

Our bordering and fenestration solutions are offered in range of double-coated tapes. Bordering tapes are applied to one edge/border of a surgical drape. Fenestration tapes are used to create an adhesive area in the centre of a single-piece drape. They are available with and without a finger lift (uncoated area). This is a non-adhesive area on the edge of the tape, which allows easy removal of the liner.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Incise drapes

Incise drapes are designed so that they can be cut in any direction and still be easily applied using the system of handling bars and support film. Our intuitive application system is one of the many benefits of the highly conformable drape solution.

Our drapes are skin-friendly, breathable, waterproof and provide a bacterial barrier. They have a flat appearance and are transparent, with no gloss. Thanks to our choice of high-quality materials, they provide excellent adhesion performance. Drape tapes can include bordering and fenestration.

Surgical construction drapes comprise various layers that necessitate secure binding. Transfer tapes can be employed to adhere the plastic or nonwoven layers to one another.
